Things you might want to know

Come As You Are
Please feel free to come as you are most comfortable. Some people come each week dressed up while others are very casual. This "come as you are" atmosphere extends beyond mere clothing, as we welcome all seekers.
Parking
Parking is on the street in front of our building. The driveway next to the building is designated for those people who are less mobile.
Accessibility
There is a handicap ramp in the front of the building to the main doors. There are also assistive listening devices and large print hymnals.
Prior to Service
Usually people arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the services. Upon entering, someone will greet you and ask you to fill out a Visitor's Card and wear a name tag. There are brochures and information available in the entry area. Feel free to take whatever you want! To the right of the entry is the library and the restroom's are down the hallway off the library.
Childcare and Religious Education
The children stay for the first part of the service. After Story Time they can leave with an RE teacher for the day's lesson.
Worship Service
Services last about an hour and generally follow the same order: music, the chalice lighting, more music, sharing joys and concerns,a story for all ages (after which the children leave), a reading followed by a moment of thought and finishing with the singing of 'Spirit of Life'. We have a collection for the congregation and social action, a sermon and usually a time for the congregation to share their responses to the sermon, more music and a reading to extinguish the chalice. We tend to be informal and try to be spiritual.
We have a wide variety of topics because we have a wide variety of speakers. Usually a professional minister speaks at least once a month. The remaining Sundays are led by one of us or a guest speaker.
After the Service
Coffee, tea and snacks are provided after the service. We encourage visitors to stay for conversation and more discussion of the service. We are all happy to have new people to welcome to our church that encourages each person's unique life journey. We will also willingly share our own experiences.
