Adults

Once a month, when Rev. Hansen is here, she will lead an adult RE discussion before the service at 9:00am.

This month is on Sun. Nov. 13. It is the second session of a UU course entitled "Resistance and Transformation: UU Social Justice History". This time we will focus on "Just War, Pacifism and Peacemaking." Everyone is welcome.

Youth

All children are encouraged to come to the Sunday service and stay until Story Time. After that the RE teacher will take them out for the day's lesson. Of course, they are welcome to stay for the service if they choose.

In 2008 our youth displayed their talents at the Dec. 21st service, by dancing, playing
musical instruments, doing readings and even showing a beautiful sun our youngest child made.
In 2009 they learned about caring for animals and did a food/item drive for Lakeland Animal Shelter. They also learned about Unitarian Universalism- it's history and what it is all about, and about the many religions of the world and how they are similar to each other and how they differ.

Continuing Education

Here is something you can learn without going to a class.

A Famous UU:
.
George Mortimer Pullman (March 3, 1831-October 19, 1897), best known for the palatial railroad sleeping and dining cars that bore his name, was a lifelong Universalist, a leading industrialist and one of the consummate industrial managers of the 19th century. Once hailed for building a model industrial town, Pullman, Illinois, he was reviled for his anti-labor stance after the town became the focal point of a nationwide railroad strike.

A Thoughtful Quote

"I'm not afraid of storms, for I'm learning how to sail my ship." ...Louisa May Alcott, a famous UU
